...but for real? The 'real-life' version of their drama started...well continued pretty much exactly where it left off...the gang couldn't even walk down their own red carpet (let alone get through their finale party) without a few drama-whore-moments!
OMG you guys!!! how much would you have LOVED to see that Lauren/Heidi confrontation on the red carpet!?! Too bad...that could have been utterly brilliant. And SPEAKING of awkward moments...why did MTV ever have to go to commercial because the footage of the Dan/Heidi convo would be worth its weight in GOLD people! At least Mr. Dan Levy has our back enough to dish the dish like this. So like Dan totally says he sees after-show host Jessi (a creeptacualr hills obsessive herself it seems) dancing with Brody(which im soo...not. jealous.of...???sigh) but apparently they aren't the only one's who enjoy a good table...ok...banquet dance. SPOTTED(later that night):

Yes folks, that would be the one and only Heidi with an improptu performance/lip-synch session outside celebu-hangout spot Koi preeeeeettty much right after she made her brief (weddingbanless) red carpet appearance and then ran off...OK!!! so I don't actually know that she RAN...but wouldn't that make it better? OH!OH!OH! and YES that is Spencer with her. I wonder what the look on his face is refering to...more...the performace, or the fact that Heidi took the Cracker-Jack piece of shit ring he gave to her off her hand?
So...Like... at this point, I'm thinkin' that this just could not possibly GET any better. But if you read that article above you would know that Speidi narrowly missed a second chance at the confrontation Lauren so ummm gracefully? avoided on the red carpet, when Lauren shows up at Koi...with BRODY! right after Speidi leaves. Now people this confuses me a little...cause.see. if Heidi and Spencer are the ruthless media whores that they so obviously are, one would think that this would be the kind of thing they call their paparazzi friends about in order to get a cut of the photo sales....but NOOOO crisis averted...and my dreams of Heidi/Lauren bitch-out session #4 are ruined....that was until I heard about the dance off.

Did somebody say DANCE OFF?!? yes. yes they did. US weekly did actually! Lauren, Audrina and Lo...vs. Heidi and Stephanie Pratt (apparently satan had two spawn). Its sad, its ridicuoulous, even pathetic!...and i'm delighted.

Remember back in October when Lauren and Audrina posed for Maxim? Where clearly they had a lot of important things to say, cause thats obviously why people read Maxim. Well Heidi one-upped them...Ok so like, I guess she just coppied them.
Well I guess she KINDA one upp-ed cause the article isn't even on newstands until february and some people (the one's that aren't looking at her ass) actually remember the scandalous things she had to say:

Them are FIGHTIN' words!!! And the rumours goin' round that Audrina and Heidi were besties again while Aud and Laur were on the outs like TOTALLY weren't helping the cause! But Lauren, every her classy self...or character...or self playing herself... or whatever was too busy putting to rest the crazy plethora of other rumours. So NATURALLY Audrina came to her BFF's defense on her myspace blog, saying:

there are soooo many false rumors it just makes us laugh!!!!…..but thats what keeps everyone on their toes and interested!…… hope these cleared up a few things

Ok now onto the more pressing rumous and what Lauren had to say about them.
1) Rumours swirrled that miss Kristin Cavaliari aka Lauren's (when she was still LC) arch nemisis from the beach (Cause I'm on a first name basis with Laguna Beach) would be brought on the show by producers to create drama. Lets recap. Kristin dated Stephen(Colletti), who Lauren (again when she was still LC) was like totally madly in love with. We're preeeetty sure they hooked up...but mostly he just played her and used her to make Kristin jealous...or at least thats what it looked like to the innocent bystander. Ok where was I? OK ya so like then Stephen goes on to date Hayden Panettiere who we've seen out and about a bunch of time with Lauren. But they of course broke up with too. Ok so I wish the love triangle stopped there but oh goodness no! Kristin also dated none other than one Brody Jenner. Yep the same Brody Jenner who keeps his place on reality television by being Lauren Conrad's on-again off-again non boyfriend guy-pal. Oh P.S. while we're like TOTALLY sitting on the edge of our seats wondering anxiously whats gonna happen between our beloved Lauren and the oh so charming Brody Jenner...we must pause and take note of the alleged public make out...s(yes plural) which occurred recently between...GASP...Lauren and STEPHEN!!! OH my god, my head hurts now. But the point is...you can see why squashing the rumour of Kristin being brought on The Hills would be at the top of Lauren's list...which she did in this interview:

Lauren Conrad has parted ways with Teen Vogue, where she worked as an intern, but the 21-year-old reality star says nobody told her: “You’re fired.”
“No, no, it was a decision I made because I was kind of done,” she told PEOPLE on Friday at the opening of the Jimmy Choo Flagship store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. “I’ve been doing it for about two years, so I’m kind of done.”
Conrad hasn’t found another part-time job — “Honestly, I can’t tell you because I haven’t decided yet. I’m looking,” she said at the opening, which raised money for the Entertainment Industry Foundations’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund — but is leaning toward something in the fashion world. “I really like working backstage at fashion shows, so I’m looking kind of in production,” she says. “I love it. It’s like the most amazing high. It’s like the best feeling.”
Of course, she also has her day job — being Lauren Conrad on MTV’s popular The Hills, which is returning for another season.
So, will we see her with a guy on the show? “I hope so!” she says.
3) Believe it or not... rumours have been swirling that the show is somehow staged, fake, scripted...which..pffffff...clearly it is not! right? Well I know we can count on Lauren to set the record straight!
Which she SOOO does in an Entertainment Weekly article:
Does it ever annoy you how meticulous people have gotten when watching The Hills? Take, for example, what everyone is referring to as ''nail polish-gate'' — one scene showed you wearing red nail polish, but then in a scene that was presented as happening a little later that same night, the polish was gone. What happened there?
The Hills is filmed exactly the same as Laguna. So when people started picking out these very little things, it was weird to me because anyone who has worked on a reality show knows how they're filmed. We're not filming The Truman Show, we don't have cameras set up all around our apartment, and they're not with us 24/7. Basically what they're doing is taking our lives and telling a story. For example, the night [of the nail-polish incident, while on a date with model Gavin], the cameras stopped rolling, and I went out to a club with [Gavin]. I went home and called someone [Brody], and the next day talked about it. [MTV] was like, Okay, well, we need to get that on tape, and since they're trying to tell a story the right way, I basically had to go and call [Brody] again, have the exact same conversation on camera. I mean, it's not lying to anyone, it's telling what really happened, but it's just the way they film reality shows.
Would you say that when you see the show and how it's edited that it feels real to you? It really is your life being portrayed?
Yeah, they're telling exactly what happened. We don't have writers on this show. We make our own decisions; we say what we want to say. That's who we are. People can sit back and say it's real, it's fake, but at the end of the day to me this is real because this is my life. Someone else having a lighting crew coming in to their apartment at 8 o'clock in the morning and set up booms and lights is very weird. But for me, that's real. That's how I live my life.
She also manages to set the record totally straight in this public statement:
"There have been some rumors in the press about The Hills being fake. Many of you have been asking me if the rumors are true. There are false rumors every week about me and I can’t address every rumor out there, but I feel like this was important for me to respond to. The show is not fake and this is really my life."
And the show's producer Adam Divello reeaaaaly clears it up in this article with TV guide, saying:
"I hate to say we schedule their lives, but we definitely schedule out what we want to cover,"
and regarding possible staged confrontations? (specifically the Lauren&Jason?/Speidi confrontation at Ketchup)
"Lauren and Jason [Wahler] were going there, and Heidi and Spence [Pratt] wanted to celebrate their anniversary," says exec producer Adam DiVello. "Ketchup was one of the spots Spencer wanted to go to, so it just sort of worked out. It wasn't planned on our behalf, but it is a little fake."
HUH!?!?!

HAHAHA but with all this nonesense going on, the one person that keeps things light and funny is Heidi Montag. Im not exactly sure she is intending to amuse us in this way but she certainly has!

Now if only the hills producers could keep their...ummm storylines? is that the right word? in line with the media reports!!! cause that would be cool.
